On a Mission?

Providing products of high quality that are unique is the mission of our company.  I am a one woman operation, designing and making everything by hand.  However, I am fortunate enough to have the support of my family, making this “our” company.

Why On a Friday?

If you knew this company previously, our name was “Under the Hula Moon”.  We still hold that name very dear to our hearts and use our same wonderful logo, but decided to go with something that had a different meaning to us. 

For some reason, Fridays (especially in the wee hours of the morning) are the most inspirational time for designs and production.  There’s a Friday ritual that my husband Mark and I have of drinking what we call bubble teas (you know, the flavored drinks that have the tapioca “pearls” in them).  We’re not big on coffee, but give us a bubble tea and we’re good to go!  There’s something very magical (perhaps the caffeine?) in those drinks that keeps me going until the next day!  Hence, the name ON A FRIDAY…

Everything on this site is designed and handcrafted in Honolulu, Hawaii by Liana Miyamura.  Earrings are the best-seller in the jewelry section, where you’ll find a variety of styles for just about anyone.  The cards and scrapbooks also make excellent gifts, making life just a little bit easier so that you, too, may enjoy your Fridays!  Look out weekend, here we come!!!

If you see something that says “*SOLD*” next to it and are still interested in it, please email us.  Everything you see here is either a one-of-a-kind piece or is limited in quantity.  You may also email us if you are wondering if the piece of jewelry you like can be converted into a different ear wire or from sterling silver to gold-filled or vice versa.
