Here at On a Friday we still believe in the beauty of the handwritten note.  Email is great and so very efficient.  However, the personal touch of putting your thoughts down on paper and perhaps even sending a card via “snail mail” is a wonderful thing. Sometimes it’s just hard to decide what to get for someone.  How about a gift certificate?  It’s sure to fit and be to their liking!

You're sure to find things that are unique, special and handmade by some of the most talented women in the craft world. Here are a few businesses that I personally know and have purchased from. The quality of the creations from all of these artisans is the greatest!

Love's Endless Possibilities - A boutique of unique handcrafted items from artists including the boutique owner herself. A local island gal like myself runs this online store that offers great gifts, handbags, plumeria hair accessories, and more. These natural tropical soaps are carefully handmade on Maui and come in yummy sets.

Gerbera Designs - A site full of crafty goodness! Right now check out the fun handmade stockings (gotta love Mr. and Mrs. Bones) great for the holidays. You'll find cool iPod covers (yup, from Nano to Regular) and craft supplies that will bring a smile to your face, just as their motto promises.
